Insight Meditation in Bexhill
First and Third Tuesday of the month 6:30-8:00pm
January 7th and 23rd, February 4th and 18th, March 4th and 18th, and April 1st and 15th
All are welcome regardless of faith tradition, experience or mobility. These sessions will be held if there is enough interest.
Insight Meditation has been practised for over two thousand years and includes Mindfulness practice as well as Metta practice.
- Mindfulness meditation is recognised by medical authorities as being a valuable tool in increasing health and wellbeing, and reducing stress, anxiety and depression.
- Developing skill and experience in Insight Meditation enables one to live a wiser, peaceful life with a deeper understanding of oneself and others.
- Metta practice, also known as “Lovingkindness” meditation, is a wonderful practice for developing warmth, friendliness and compassion to self and others.
People can sit on chairs or bring their own cushions or meditation benches. The classes will combine learning and experiencing Insight Meditation, followed by a cup of tea and a chat. For more information contact Yasmin.
The course will be run by Yasmin Shah DipQT, MHSc, MEd, MSc. Yasmin has been practising meditation for more than 30 years and now lives in Bexhill where she also teaches Qigong in classes and workshops.
